Attracting energy

Have you ever wondered what it means when people talk about someone’s energy levels. I’m sure you would have heard the statement, “they have such good energy”. We all have an energy source and depending on how we use it, will determine whether we attract or repel more into your life. Our energy source is our physical, psychological, spiritual and nutritional health and the better we manage these things, the greater the source of energy we’ll produce

Let’s look at each ingredient:

  1. Physical – Our physical self, the activity and exercise we do and how we treat our body.
  2. Psychological – Our emotions, thinking, behaviour and how we respond and react.
  3. Spiritual – Our significance, reason and purpose for who we are, what we do and why we do it.
  4. Nutritional – How we nourish our body, the quality, quantity and type of food we use to fuel our body.

So in essence your energy is controlled by how you treat yourself and how you manage that is vital in creating your best outcome. For example, if you’re always stressed, eating badly, sleeping poorly and not looking after yourself chances are your energy is going to be low and you’ll probably feel like crap. It a self-fulfilling prophecy, we are what we repeatedly do.

I’m sure most of us want more energy, to feel better and function at our optimum but wanting and having are two different things. So how do we go about achieving that?

There are many things you can do and most of them are relatively simple to implement into your daily routine. For example below is a small list of things you can apply immediately to attract more positive energy into your life.

  • Compliment someone – It’s amazing how good you feel when you give someone a compliment. A little acknowledgement for their service, help, how they look, act or a deed they’ve done and watch how they react!!
  • The act of giving – It doesn’t have to be monumental; sometimes the smallest gift can be the greatest. Giving not only feels good it produces positive energy for both the receiver and giver.
  • Having gratitude – Being grateful for the people, moments and memories that lift your spirit. Sometimes we get so lost in doing the do that we forget to appreciate the simple things that bring such joy.
  • Making others laugh – Laughing not only creates happiness, it releases the happy hormone endorphin which, helps decrease stress, reduce pain, boost the immune system and makes you feel good.
  • Help someone – Helping someone gives a sense of purpose and satisfaction plus it connects us to others.
  • Hug it out – Hugging well, it feels great, (Thank you J) produces the feel-good hormones oxytocin, dopamine and serotonin which help decrease stress and anxiety, it reduces your heart rate and makes you happier, healthier and more relaxed.

Of course there’s many more things you can do to generate good energy but the point is, energy is created in doing things that not only make us feel good but empower others too.

Why we need more energy into our lives?

Have you ever been through a period where life seems to be a real struggle and no matter what you do things just don’t go to plan and you start to wonder, why bother?? I’m sure you have, we all go through peaks and troughs and if you have been down you know it’s not a nice place to be. Although being down isn’t easy you still have the choice to remain where you are or change the situation. It’s quite easy to get stuck in the woe-is-me syndrome and continue attracting negative energy or you can take control and change the situation for the better. Like most things in life it’s our reaction to an event that determines the outcome, we can either attract or repel positive energy. Now don’t get me wrong it’s not as simple as clicking your fingers and all of a sudden life’s grand but if you start implementing some of the above ideas, things will start to improve.

There seems to be a lot of anger, aggression, distrust and depression in people today and unless we switch our focus to attract more positive energy, we could be looking at a pretty sad future. I’m not saying we all stand around in a circle holding hands, dancing and chanting positive affirmations but I believe if each of us can increase our own level of good energy, it will on-mass produce a better world. Good energy builds trust, enhances communication, creates healthier relationships, better understanding and increases empathy. Good energy is about making people feel safe, connected and empowered to be themselves.

What type of energy do you attract?

Chose your path wisely!
